Clunk in the steering

I think Dorman makes a replacement.. ROCK AUTO ftw

The PO on my 2005 Sierra replaced it under warranty... that truck still had play in the steering wheel like an 85 truck. But NO CLUNK! lol

GM... The steering shaft, cluster, 4wd switch, blower motor resistor... :emotions122: They knew they were problematic..

The steering shaft WAS a warrantied repair at the dealerships I believe (GM knew it was a problem)I think Dorman makes a replacement.. ROCK AUTO ftw

Is it a easy install?

I honestly never tackled it. I assume its straight forward!

I would be willing to bet there are a few write ups and youtube videos on the subject!

:boti:I had the same clunk. I found the lower idler arm and the pitman were wore out the intermediate shaft was loose and the box need adjustment. All good now:boti:
