I have a 97 having the same problem I checked the fuse and it was blown I replaced it and truck is still doing the same thing

somewhat of a dead thread but the ENG1 fuse blowing means it's shorting on something. it controls a whole laundry list of sensors and whatnot. Some wire has broken loose somewhere and that fuse is blowing secondary to the short, thus you're getting no power to those several components. check the voltage at the pink wire in your MAF sensor. I bet you it's in milivolts and not the 12 volts you're supposed to have.
