Engine replacement

2023 Tahoe 21,113 miles 6.2 getting a new engine. 2 to 3 months not sure when. Good luck. Trying to get a email from the dealer of what happened to the engine. So far was told the bearings but nothing in writing. Going to report it to the NHTSA as a safety problem. Good luck

Dealer told me this is an issue, GM is trying to figure out which supplier(s) are involved, which explains why it isn't every 6.2. There are 17 6.2's in our fleet, and so far only 2 of them, one was a 21, the other was a 23. All of them have over 50k on them now, the 2 had the issue had less than 20k on them. It isn't service related, they all use the same oil, same intervals, must be as GM suspects, supplier parts related.
