Is there any reason guys mostly go for the spindles and not the lower control arms?
My alignment is great with the lca's and my tires don't rub on the fenders.

I got spindles and rear springs in a kit local. Thats why i went with them. Can not really answer for others & my tires do not rub either, no where near it. My alignment is fine as well, well was. Will tell soon though.

They are the upper control arm bushings. They are offset so they push the UCA out a little bit. The cams are included in the one I posted. The bushings offer 1.5 degrees, and the cams offer an additional 1.5 degrees. It took me about an hour to do both sides complete removal of old and install of new bushings never having done it before. I do have a press though, which is a must.

You can either do just the plates, or just the bushings, or both, depending how much more adjustment you need. I decided to do both since I had everything apart anyway. Only a $20 difference I think.

Thanks Richard. I think i may only need the cam plates for now as it was fine before i did the coil overs and its maxed out from the drop before. So i think may need them this go around.

So can you leave the upper ball joint connected or do you have to do that at the same time? And will a ball joint press work to push the new bushings in?

One more thing... atomic, it looks like your wheel well liners are completely removed in that pic. Ive been thinking about doing that to mine bc the tires have rubbed holes in them and they sound terrible when I turn and they grab the edges... any issues with debris getting up in the engine bay?

Not sure about the ball joint press...I tried it in a big vice but couldnt budge them so I took it to my 20ton air press and it was very easy pushing a button haha.

The upper ball joint is easy to get out since its just pressed in...loosen the nut and tap it a few times with a hammer.

The wheel liner is cut up for the downpipe, so its not really an open area. Also the truck does not get driven offroad, or even crappy road, or rain, so I dont have a problem with debris. A DD truck may, however.

The seats in the hyundai are much more comfortable lol

HA ha ... I bet that could be interesting in the rain or snow.


How I am rolling for the week, till alignment, etc issues fixed.

NNBS Spares on both fronts 265/70/17's. Cushion the ride quite nicely though. But as you can see plenty of room for a big tire.

Yes they are and do you know they are not that common either. At least from my findings. Its only certain years, etc...

But its alright for now. Thinking of going all 4 this weekend and trying out the ride then.

Got my front bump stops in. Tie rods are in.

All parts are here and ready for install and then alignment next week.

Note-- drove all around today for the first time really testing out every kind of road you can think of and got to say im amazed of the ride, even on a semi stiff setting of the shocks.

More in the 2nd post review. ( since my thread got abandoned.) ha ha j/k

Never abandoned your thread man still watching it like a hawk waiting for more info!!! Lol. I like all the positive feed back your giving!! Well I got that link for the coil over I found. It's for a c5 vette. I don't remember what the measurement we are looking for but they make them.

Any way do you think that t bar would work instead of stud mount to get the extra 1.5 inches of drop?
