Cold Air Intakes???

mine dosent have that fitting near the throttle body side, it says its its a crankcase vent hose for the valve cover vent port.... how much better is this one?

I honestly don't know ... I just started looking at air intakes so I'm learning as I go, and I'm mechanically challenged to begin with.

So far as I can tell the difference between the 77 series (i linked) and the 57 series is that one is metal the other is plastic. Surely that's not enough of a reason to make one legal in all states and the other illegal in some?

But I don't know which one you have. :think:

i think its the 57 series, plastic.. the one you showed has a fitting on the tube & mine dosent, maybe thats why mines legal n cali :confused:

minimal performance...dont waste your time, stock is best in these trucks

I've got a Banks Ram-air intake and I love it, improved throttle response, and sounds throatier with my magnaflows. I don't have any hard numbers but the theory is sound. The design of the box isolates the intake from the engine compartment so you draw cooler air from the outside. Banks claims up to 35 hp gain and they are a very reputable company within the diesel crowd. the 35 hp is probly only to the flywheel but it's still significant.

Haven't seen the Banks yet. I'll have to look into them too.

Thanks for the input and i'll get some mods and pics up once i get em done, and can get off this turnaround at work.
