Anyone get this thing installed yet and/or clarify which bypass module to use?

If installed, opinions and thoughts would be good, too.

update: got my refurb 5701 installed everything works great!!!! no flaws so far which ive heard of on the refurbed ones(bad brains, bad remotes, bad valet switches etc..)
Also got the 530t window module hooked up too and I LOVE IT!!!I'll play with it some more when it stops raining tomorrow

edit: only problem with the install was when we hit the windows to go up they would stop half way up,turned out that the windows track on the inside of the door panel needed to be greased BAD and that solved the problem

I don't doubt that it CAN work, but there has been some concern about whether or not you have to download software when you get it to make it work. Couldn't figure out what it comes pre-loaded with.

What's the window module do? I'm assuming roll down and up windows, but is it controllable or programmed to do something automatically when you start your car?

Oh, yeah...got mine and the bypass module. Waiting on install guy to get back to me now.

yes it's controllable, kinda hard to explain
you can crack (vent)them or just stop the windows where you want them or roll them all the way down

Ahh. Kinda cool.

Not very useful around here, though....lol. It's not all that often I need my car cooled off, and when I do the auto-start with climate control will cool it off anyway. Plus it rains and snows....nah, think I'll pass on that one.

;)

Ok, just talked to my install buddy. He does this for a living and installs DEI stuff all the time.

He asked if I'd already gotten the bypass module. I said yes. He said, ok, see if you can send it back and get your money back. I don't need it. Passlock is all resistance and I can wire things around it easily.

So. Anyone want to buy an XK06? lol

He's doing it Friday night if my wife will agree to the time, for $100.

That's a deal. :Handshake:
