Yess, they work.
Your not gaining anything with just roller tips. More power to be gained elsewhere than 200$ roller tips.

Spend the 50$ more and go full roller or stay stock.
If your OEM cam go 1.6.
If your aftermarket cam, do the math and find out if your springs can take the extra lift, if they can go 1.6.

There a good amount of power to be gained with 1.6 over 1.5 rockers.

Full roller motor is where its at!

It will be on my vortec with the stock roller cam. Comp says in actuality the original rockers actually do more like a 1.42 ratio so I would benefit from a true 1.52 from them and I should street legal. they also said at 1.6 I may have spring issues not to mention the higher cost. The engine is completely original. The only reason I am considering it is because I may have the money for new rockers and I have to take the head off to find out what broke inside. So I thought I would upgrade while i could. I know there is more I can do elsewhere and will get to eventually get to it all for now I am just trying to avoid the extra work. When everything is done it will be stronger and faster but I need it to be legal in Cali if I end up staying here.

Who in the hell will know if your rockers are legal or not ?...they are under the valve covers. **** em.

I put roller rocker roller tip 1.8's in my 01 vette (stock 1.7) and gained about 15 hp and 1.5 mpg......of course this gain was also the sum of other parts like headers, tune, CAI, etc.
I am also looking at 1.6 roller tip rockers for my truck. Now that I have the Vax spacer and ported TB, I could use more cam lift.

I know, I discussed it with EZDAAR yesterday but I will have to put a hold on it now. I could not swing enough cash for the full roller setup so I will just do my repairs for now and revisit in a few months. When there might be more leeway. Did have enough to get a tire Pressure Monitoring System to install next month. The repairs should start this weekend.

Do tell... Do tell....

I'm looking for more ideas..... are these easy to swap out? Our setups are almost the same. If you were going to do this, what would you be buying?
