I'm considering a high mileage 2013 Yukon XL SLT.

It has 168,000 miles, clean car fax, 2 owners. Black on black

Current owner has driven 120,000 miles in the last 3 years with Mobile 1 every 10k miles. He drives long hauls every week of 500-700 miles, back and forth across Texas. He has never towed with it. Car has only lived in TX.

Is this a good value at $10,000? I would use it as a daily driver, family hauler, grocery getter. I drive about 12k miles per year.

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff

Yes, seems like a good deal if it’s in good mechanical and cosmetic condition.

He does a great job on what to look for before buying a used car.

Price is right, especially lately! Has the transmission been serviced at least twice by now or rebuilt? In the life of this truck, you might be the guy that replaces the transmission and rebuilds the top end of the engine and then be relatively maintenance free for another 100K plus miles.

10K is kinda long for even M1, maybe even for a highway car but you'll have to be the judge of that based on how the oil looks. Did the owner say if she consumes oil between changes and if so, how much? If you get it, send an oil sample out to Blackstone Labs for analysis, consider the transmission fluid too.
