I've noticed that my 09 Yukon xl SLE 5.3 eats up a lot of coolant. It guzzles it up while driving at normal temperatures but dumps it back into the reservoir when it starts to cool off after being turned off. There is no overheating issue, visible leaks, nor smell. It smoked a bit yesterday from the engine bay but, that might have simply been due to the cold weather since it all immediately disappeared once I opened the hood. I wasn't able to get it to smoke up after actively looking for it. There's also no milky oil. I did recently get a cam with a dod delete into it after fixing a lifter ticking if that matters. Is this an issue or am I overthinking it?

Are you actually adding coolant? Not unusual to have a leak when warming up and not see a leak cold or hot. When warming up the pressure comes up quick but all the sealing items are still cold. Usually can smell antifreeze if leaking especially if you're seeing steam.

I simply topped off the coolant to the fill line the day after I got my truck back(about two weeks ago). It went back to full after I turned it off with no visible difference. I noticed the smoke after I parked yesterday when I went to run an errand that was 10 miles away from home. I nor a couple of family members could smell any coolant or any strange smell for that matter coming from the truck. Weather was mid 60s if it matters.

No idea. The mechanic added the coolant when he did the repair.

Either burp it yself, or go back to your mech and have them burp it for you, or go to another mech and have them burp it for you.
