Corroded valve stems

Had my oil changed and they broke a valve stem checking the tire pressure. I have 2 of the original stems still thay are metal w a metal cap. Any ideas on how to avoid breaking these and being able to check the air for the cold months. Anti corrosive? Any ideas would be great

Go to plastic caps.

Kroil is good stuff. Used it for the toughest of stuck parts over the years.

Hi I've done this with my BMW and once you get them off you can use metal caps just not during the winter the salt and brine they put on the road chews right through them.

They sell metal caps with plastic liners. Don't ever use all metal. Drill a small hole in it and fill it cutting oil.
