Cowl hoods?

What is everyone here's take on cowls? Also, what do you prefer fiberglass/steel, and what size cowl? I got a great deal on a 4" steel, it's kinda big and I'm just wondering what others thunk before I color match it.

I really like that look, mine is a steel goodmark 4"

I like them. I think mine is 3" and it's fiberglass. I have no preference of steel or glass. The hood hardware works better with a heavier hood though

I've always been undecided on these for the tahoes....
but love cowls in general

Steal hoods are the way to go. The fiber glass warp to easy IMO.

id rather have a steel one, at least on our trucks, since they are trucks and we drive them everyday, the steel would last a long time, the fiberglass would be nice for weight savings, but on trucks as heavy as these, i dont think it really helps much haha, besides fiberglass never really fits right, my stepdads got a 71 oldsmobile cutlass with a fiberglass 442 hood and the lines arent right on it, its definitely light though for as big of a hood as it is
