Have a 2009 Denali with severe cracks. Contacted GM customer Service but was told I had too many miles for assistance ...... like my dash is the only one. Anyway has anyone written instructions on how to diy the dash and what is a good part number for better replacement??

Dash cracks

Yea, I just replaced the onstar module that the recall just missed me on. Plus the dash issue, replaced the seat heater, repaired the cruise control, still need to repair Rt mirror that doesnt fold in, and replaced electric step motor. Where does it end? Im not even 100K yet! The dash is just embarrassing when anyone gets in, thats the first thing they say...what the heck happened ?? An embarrassment for GM for sure !

I feel yah man. My dash is badly cracked to the point it has a big hole, my LH mirror doesn't fold, and my RH mirror doesn't adjust.

Its really sad GM won't do anything about it. Mine is cracked in three places. When you ask GM a question or have a complaint, they always ask how many miles you have. Their response to me is "I'm sorry, we can't help you, you have to many miles" . My wife has a Lexus truck and has a cracked dash. She gets a new dashboard regardless of miles. I wish GM could follow suit.

I can't stand the multiple cracks in the dashboard. It looks bad and sounds worse. Anyone done the swap? Looks to be a good bit of work to get the old one off.
