I just went online and found an overlay cover for like $120. It’s not perfect and the texture doesn’t quite match but it works for me. Better than seeing those ugly cracks.
But they look like overlays. It’s been discussed a lot here. If you’re ok with that, it’s a good option. Also note that you can’t remove the dash anymore in case you need to work on things under there that break or fail without destroying that cover and the dash that it’s glued to. They’re way less expensive but have their drawbacks.

I'd rather see cracks than that ugly overlay cover.

I've been searching for the answer to that for years. Thanks for clarifying. I was going to get the overlay. But this changes things. I'll order a replacement and look into ways to reinforce it.

Also an FYI about part numbers. My Yukon has the center speaker, but has a different part number from both of the ones mentioned earlier. Mine's 23224742 (for Ebony). I'm pretty sure the 23224747 is w/o the speaker.

Also, the exploded diagrams they use on the GM parts websites are generic. As far as I can tell, none of them show the center speaker, whether the part is for one or not.

So anybody who ends up having something shipped FedEx Freight… I called today to see wtf was up with the “emergency-delayed in transit” status in tracking and they said I need to schedule an appointment since it’s a residence. So I did that, for Thursday ( today’s Tuesday). I asked them why they never notified me and they said it’s because they have so much freight that they don’t have time to contact everybody! Hey idiots, maybe if you let people know they need to schedule a delivery, they will and then you can actually deliver some of that freight and you’ll have less.

It's coming FedEx so of course it won't be on time. FedEx is NEVER on time for me. I just checked and sure enough- it says "Shipping exception- emergency- Delay in transit". Whatever that means. i know it won't be delivered today, hopefully they didn't destroy it.
Fed-Ex is delivering your new 3 piece dash. I thought it was a single piece-gotta get that part number which has to be easier to install! :D

The new dash came today. It’s the 23224747. No speaker hole. Here’s pics of the backside of the areas that crack and you can see the reinforcement ribs that I don’t believe are on the original design. I’m going to add plastic epoxy in those areas too. I’ll get pics of the old one for comparison when I swap it out.

Awesome!! Looks right to me so I don't know why I need this other part number (sigh). Would you mind snapping a pic of the front of the dash from end to end, as it will look installed? I want to see if it matches my dash. If so, I'll be changing my order since it is STILL on back order.

My only other thought is perhaps mounting points could be different between the two part numbers?
