No you don't your spec is fine as long as you got that spec under the required engine speed for data acquisition. The specs are 0.0° +-2.0° so anywhere from -2.0° to +2.0°. If there was an issue the pcm would notify you.

"Once the distributor is fully seated, align the distributor rotor segment
with the number 8 pointer that is cast into the distributor base.
If the distributor rotor segment does not come within a few degrees of the
number 8 pointer, the gear mesh between the distributor and camshaft may
be
off a tooth or more."
is this right?

the distributor housing only goes in one way thats the only way it will bolt up unless i take the too torx bolts out of the rotor and turn that by its self. i also read that there should be a white paint mark on the distributor and that the indent in the dizzy should line up with it
http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1a/bl340a.htm (step 2)
i dont have a white mark on my new distributor
and step 6 im a little confused about the tab should be within a few degreess of the pointer what if its not? how do i fix it?
