Well not doing long tube headers but looking at the stock Y pipe on my 6.2 esky lots can be upgraded.

Doing a 3 inch y pipe.

3 inch 100 cell cats ($230)

Dual 3 to single 3 y pipe by magnaflow 29.41

3.5 to 3 inch reducer (6.2s have 3.5 inch exhaust)

3 inch 45 and 180 mandrel bent 2 sets $120 on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MANDREL-BEN...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item27a3967eaf

Couple of 02 bungs about $20.

And flanges to bolt to stock exhaust manfolds $30

So will be about $475 parts but getting rid of the 3 cats on our truck should open it up some.

Ill post up pics once I get all items here.

Hmmm, if the stock exhaust piping is 2.5-inch then increasing to 3-inch may reduce the exhaust velocity (reduce scavaging) which will result in a loss of torque in the low/mid range. IMO I would research a little more (GMFS forum) to see some real world results.

In any case, I would like to see you compare the dyno results with the last graph. Sounds like a fun project and looking forward to hearing it.

Pieceing this together its way to much.
Flanges 110 oem from stainless works
All exhaust tubing 150
Dual 3 to 3.5 y pipe 110
High flow cats 210
02 bungs 30

Sooooooooo decided im going to just cut the large 3rd cat on my y pipe. Pipe will be replaced with straight 3.5 inch and will prob wake up the sound a little.

The 2 cats on the headers will stay in place

I don't have an escalade. BUT
I took out the third cat on my Tahoe the day after I got my exhaust put on because I had previously taken my exhaust off of my 2007(no third cat)
And when I put it on the 2011 it sounded just awful and really airy to me and so I took out the third cat and it really opened up the sound a lot!
You'll be pleased.
