The dashboard , steering wheel, and temperature control lights are off. They usually turn on automatically when it gets dark. Any suggestions? I have a 2005 gmc yukon.

Did you check that little wheel next to your light switch?

^^Yes. Check the dimmer switch. Mine is bad and only works in one specific position.

The dome light work fine. The dimmer switch seems to work when I roll the wheel all the way to turn on the inside lights. The backlights to the speedometer are off, the lights on the steering wheel are off, the lights to the tempareture controls on the dash and also the roof mounted ones that control the temps in the rear. The lights on the radio work, though and so do all the gauges and information center.

Could of all blown. The bulbs are known to go out in the GMT800s. No they can't be replaced. They are soldered in. If only your Speedo is out and random other stuff, then I'd say that's what it is.

If you are able to solder. All of those bulbs can be replaced. Some prefer LEDs. Entire new units are expensive. Used units are cheaper but bulbs will eventually burn out.

Im dealing with something similar but not all of mine are out.

Anyone with experience switching to LED's care to offer some advice?

Thanks,
Dave

2000-2002 gauges plug and play(need twist lock bases), 2003-2006 gauges need soldering. 2000-2006 dash all need to be soldered. There's a good writeup by scottyboy in interior or electronics section.
