Obnoxious stickers on sun visors

I know that this is probably akin to taking the tag off of a mattress, but...

Has anyone had any luck removing the adhesive from the overhead sun visor after removing the sticker? The stickers really contrast with the dark interior, so I removed one. There is still a pretty pronounced area where the sticker was of residual adhesive. I have tried steam and a bit of goo gone to no avail. Anyone had any luck with this?

Just cover it with a more desirable sticker or even a solid black decal.

O'Reilly and Autozone have an spray for decal/sticker removal. Very easy to use, and it does work, I have used it several times to remove dealer stickers and vehicle emblems.

Google “leather visor cover” If you want a really clean look call a local upholstery shop for options as they may be able to have you leave the visors with them and exceed your expectations.

I’d have the upholstery shop do it because of the glue they use will last longer.
