So, I have begun my long awaited project of de-pinstriping my HOE!! Now that it has been warm and sunny outside and no more of this crap rain from Hurricane Alex, I grabbed my eraser wheel and drill and.... my drill does not work. So, I got my cordless drill out- the battery died after about .08 seconds...lol. Anyway, not about to head to Lowe's and not about to recharge the battery 80 million times, I resorted to my next option, Goof Off.

It works very well BUT- I had to stop for the evening because my tri's and rear delts were killing me from BodyPump 2 days in a row (Gold's Gym anyone?) and...don't hate- but the Goof Off was eating away at my solar tipped nails- note to self, buy some heavier duty gloves tomorrow!.
I'm going to add the first couple of pics that I took at the very beginning, and I will update until I finally finish- hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Tips boys? I always appreciate y'alls input!!

lucky you, we are still get'n your rain from that storm :(

get the battery charged, you'll kill your fingers doing it all with Goof Off. 3M also makes a good adhesive remover. IMHO, better than Goof Off.

you'll love the wheel and your fingers will love you. :D ( and your nails)

worked on mine.

Try heating up a small area at a time with a hair dryer. Then go at it. It will help loosen it up a bit. I did my old 04 Yukon with a hair dryer goo gone and my thumb and a little soft plastic card i found in my garage.

Taking the pinstripes off our TBSS was a pain, but some portions came off in strips. Just peeled them off. Some of the other parts were more stubborn and we needed to use the Goo Gone. Best of luck!

Sorry to revive the dead but are the pinstripes on an 07 Yukon painted on or tape? I can't seem to find an edge but everyone is saying they're removing them with wheels and removers.

Thanks for the help.

Thank you. It just looks like factory stripes that someone clear coated over.
