Welcome to the site and nice looking rig. It looks like the passenger side of your front bumper is off. Is the bumper bent?

Annnd...got to looking at my front bumper tonight. The previous owner rear ended someone and it pushed the bumper back...looks like i'm gonna have to take it off and massage the brackets back into place in order to clear these tires on my passenger side. Hopefully heat and a hammer will do the trick.

@dwmmatt23: I plan on taking the moldings off soon...but the reason i'm taking them off is because one side is scratched up and they both look pretty beat up. If they come off clean though I'll definitely get you some pictures.

Wheels got tires put on today...Just waiting on the lug nuts now...

Front Bumper Fix

Well...heat was out of the option. GM has coated everything up front with something I'm assuming prevents rust...it melts pretty quickly and I didn't want to jack it up to much.

I did get the bumper looking better though.

Started by removing the bumper, grill, lights...notice the passenger bracket is bent down...

Here's the bent piece on the bumper that fits to that bracket...

Down lower there is another support bracket that got pushed back...I tried beating on it, pulling on it, heating it (useless), and beating some more...I finally gave up and got this clamp to get a bite on it...

Just waiting on my lug nuts to get here now and I can put my wheels and tires on. I'll probably try to get the side moldings off this week too since I start school Monday. Hopefully my replacement corner lights will get here soon...the front looks odd with black housing projectors and stock corners.

Speaking of projectors...the Depo projector headlights take a 5/32 socket to adjust...took me 4 hardware stores before I finally found a 10 piece set that had one in it...Oncoming traffic will thank me though.

Nice work! That passenger bracket being bent down is why the bumper looked off to me! :D It all lines up nice now :waytogo: I like your Hoe...

Update

Worked on the Hoe some today. Did a color change on the emblem to black and started working on taking the side moldings off.

My bumper lights finally made it back to California today so I should be getting my replacement set in the next week or two...they will definitely help to tie the black depos and emblem together on the front end.

I took quite a few pictures while I was working so I'll post one big update tomorrow night after all the moldings are off and the wheels and tires are on as well.

I also would like to find a Z71 rack to replace my LS rack with. The rear light modification would look sweet and definitely help with unloading the trailer at night. I'm thinking about just swapping my girlfriends brother's rack off of his Z71...think he'll notice? :Big Laugh:
