Well, with a little lubriderm on your ping pong balls, you will likely not need pics to witness stiffness..

Sorry, I had to go there-

I'm getting both headlights assemblies tomorrow, so we'll see what they look like.

Vata, don't want to jack this thread...lemme know what they look like on my thread, please. Now I'm curious.

Well .. weather here in Ohio did not let up, it did finally stop raining, however, now its SNOWING :wtf2: well .. thats Cleveland for you !!!

Tomorrow will be warning up, mid 40's and mid 50's by Saturday .. so one of these days, I will get to do the switch on the mounting brackets from the OEM's to the DEPO's.

Chrome depos have been ordered and I just picked up my set of BMW projectors. Hopefully I can get everything to work.

Ok .. UPDATE .. weather here is good, took a good look at the original OEM headlights and did a comparison with the DEPO Chrome Projectors .. and the answer is .. NO

The mounting on the DEPO's is completely different .. the screw positions and adjusting rods do not match .. I will post photos soon showing the differences between the two.

Overall, that would have been an excellent idea.

Here's my take:
If you're the kind of person that is **** about their ride, you'll notice the bouncing. It's not severe, but I am insanely crazy when it comes to stuff like that, so I had to do something. Some folks have said when they put their HID's in, the bouncing went away (theoretically from the wiring and such filling the space), but mine didn't. The issue is that the part where the pin goes in is only attached at the top of the assembly. I took an old spacer from a universal flat panel mount I had laying around and glued in between the back of the headlight bowl and the arm that the pin goes through. That stiffened it up much the way a ping pong ball would.

Honestly, it didn't seem like that big of a deal to fix. That's the only negative I have found to the Depo's.

Hey Mike- I have been reading a lot of your posts about fixing the bouncing in your DEPO's and I was just wondering if you have posted pics of your fix on another thread or if you have any. I am interested in doing a more proper fix like you have done than cramming ping pong balls or foosballs in there. Thanks a lot

Hey guys- I was just out looking at my Depo's and comparing them to the stock lamps to try and solve the shaking while driving. Is there anyone who has pictures they could post of their fix for this problem so I can attempt it myself? Just not sure where to put something to keep it from rattling. Thanks

Anybody? Someone must have a picture or the ability to describe the placement for me. I even bought some FoosBalls today!

Well I can't help you much because I don't have depos... But my eBay lights shook a little, I put 2 nuts between the light mount and the when the pins slide in and it stopped my wiggle...

Just look at it closely and see where it's coming from
