difference between the 96 "1500" and tahoe

im lookng at a really clean 2 door 96 - 1500 with 173k miles. i understand there is the 305 in this one? are they really different? our truck now is a 99 ducks unlimited and im looking at this 2 door as my personal second truck that will get much less use. what do people think about these 1500's?

I dont think there was any difference. Just a name plate redesign. Still a designation for 1/2 ton chassis. As far as I know, i thought the SUVs were all 350s. Check the glove box for rpo codes L30 or L31. L30 is for the 305, and L31 is the 350.

they were 350 in all hoe/kons unless diesel.
