diffrence between 4" and 6"

I know 2" ha ha. seriously I have my truck in the shop and I need to decide between 4" and 6" guy at the shop say 6" is fine. highway driving will still be able to go 65 70 mph. 4" lift i can go a little faster, better gas milage.
I am having a hard time deciding any advice would be good, this is not a daly driver but I do take it on long road trips and in the woods to hunting spots.

6" you will be plenty happy with that. Get a 4" and you WILL want to go bigger. Plus most kits are near the same prices for their 4 and 6" kits. You wont notice negative handling characteristics or bad gas mileage between the 4 and 6 either.

i would go 6 if it was mine.... all you would have to do is regear if your worried about " faster & better milage"

Lifting has nothing to do with speed and power of a truck....tire size and weight will make it sluggish with out a regear. I know guys running around on 12" lifts 80+ on the highway.

Get a 6" lift, trust us all because you will regret a 4" kit with in a month if not sooner. My truck is pushing 7+ plus and to me it looks like stock height.

o.k. I have more people saying 6 than 4, i had a few try and talk me out of the 6. when I go for the 6 is thier any down side to having blocks in the back compared to springs, do the blocks u-bolt need re-tightening every couple thousand miles.

do I need dual shock set up or is single fine, here in jersey whats the law for tires sticking out to get threw inspection?

i had 10 inches on mine and i drove it jax to orlando at 75 all the time and never had too much of an issue.. 4 inches.. is soft.. are you soft? cause i mean.. i didnt know soft ass dudes lifted their trucks? i mean i thought it was like.. something MEN did.. .i mean.. OLD JOHNNY woulda done 6.. have you really changed that much? arent .. you.. a .. man?

A block actually rides BETTER IMO.. a spring is a stiffer taller spring.. where as a block.. is gonna ride just like the stock spring did.. since.. its still the stock spring...

Yea if you bother w/ a lift go big. You dont need to have dual shock hoops, but they are nice. Blocks are not bad and the most common rear lift that is chosen, however after people install their lifts most will change to full springs. Blocks create alot of axle wrap and give a less stable ride characteristic then having springs. However you can always just run a 2" block, shackle flip kit and a zero rate and have a pretty much stock feeling setup. I would avoid alot of the lifts you have chosen as possibilities, however pro comp is your best choice from the selection.

6" and both my old 2dr on 36's and my new 4dr would do everybit of a 80-90mph easy and not fell unsteady at all but make sure you replace worn suspension,steering components while the lift is being put on....

Depends if this rig is your daily driver?

Any lift over 3-4 inches for a daily driver is excessive unless your commute is short enough where it won't matter IMO. The hard issue to argue is how awesome a 6 inch lift looks once someone does it, lol.
