I know there is a slew of posts dealing with installing a NAvigation unit in a Non-nav Yukon here.

CAn anybody direct me to a few good ones.

I think that I have a good start but people seem to be all over the place here.

I have a 2008 Yukon

Thanks all.

I cant see the full part number but the nav install is easy, plug and play, you will need to buy a vss kit for your speed sensing/voice commands and a gps antenna...i just did the swap last weekend, took 20 minutes...once your done you have to go to the dealership to get it programmed...

just google your part number to find out if its for a non-bose or bose system...

a bit confused about the BOSE NON-Bose

I am a bit confused about the BOSE non-BOSE systems.

I know that my system is a non-Bose system. I thought that all the NAv's were BOSE systems, and that I woud need a 4x100 amp.

I am also confused about the 4x100 amp. Don't I have 6 speakers?

Thanks for all the help.

Im new in the chevy world, so I can't answer your questions with 100% accuracy, but I am pretty sure you can get a non-bose nav or bose nav (not sure what yours is). From others experiences if you dont have a bose system and you get a nav with bose your volume will be super low and you will barely here anything. So what I would do is install the nav, no sounds will work until you get it unlocked/programmed, once it is unlocked turn on the radio if you get only low volumes just go to a car audio shop and have them hook up an amp to make it work, doesn't have to be a bose amp, any will do.

Type in your part number since I can read it from the picture and I will try and see which type it is...

Someone else feel free to chime in and correct anything I said if its wrong, or if you guys no part numbers to non-bose units help him out...
