Disable Chime

Well, I'm still using the factory Nav radio so that isn't an option.

yes but not using the service.

Unfortunately, they make it really difficult. You could get a harness for your stereo...the nnbs cars have two harnesses (one that retains the chime and onstar, the other does not). I'm not sure if it's the same for the nbs though.

There is also the green wire from the body control module underneath the dash on the right, you can cut it but that only partially disables the chime.

I want to disable the chime completely on my 03 Tahoe. Any suggestions?
The manual only tells you how to set the volume of the Chime. Useless POS.

Buy a double DIN stereo and install it using a wiring harness. Then just don't connect the chime function.
