Does anyone know if I put DL3 mirrors on my truck with the stock switches if the turn signals will work or not in the mirror? A buddy of mine put towing mirrors on his truck so he doesn't need the power fold BUT his do have the turn signals. He would be willing to swap switches with me if mine will still let his turn signals work.
Turn signals will work plug and play with your old switches but they won't fold.
It's done! Anita picked up her Tahoe from the dealer a little while ago. Everything installed and working, total bill = $411.
At one point, the dealer told her the passenger side door switch would be needed after all (as the wise members of this forum had stated) for $161 plus installation but then he said he was able to "trick out" her factory switch to get it programmed by putting it in another vehicle temporarily. He told her what he did but she didn't really understand.
Anyway, she's ecstatic to have her power folding mirrors (plus the turn signals, etc. that go along with them) so she doesn't have to mess with them manually and has plenty of clearance getting in and out of the garage now.
Thanks again to those that offered assistance/support on this little project.
