The Guy your talking about is a member on thedieselplace.com.

I believe his company is Duramax suburbans.

He builds some bad ass suburbans but they are expensive!

If you want a 7000 # truck that can tow anything , get 23MPG, and run low 12's at the strip then this is the vehicle for you.

The engine will certainly give you the power to tow most things but you need the driveline to back it up otherwise it will go kaboom.

Heres a shop I found that does duramax/allison conversions.

Heres an H2 with one of their conversions.

I was just curious because I was telling a friend of mine about this and he didnt believe me... I would never do this unless I had ASSLOADS of disposable income... and even still, I would probably just buy a CTS-V

That's my dream car also, either that or BMW M3. Problem is I don't want them if they are more than ayear old and I still cant afford either. Oh well I'll keep playin lotto

Yep:), but he also swaps in the allison and the 3/4 ton suburban already has the 14 bolt rear end.

Not to knock Predator too much, but I've heard some iffy things about them over on the H1 Hummer forums. There were quite a few people less than pleased with their performance packages for the Hummer's 6.5L diesel.

Not that the H1 issues have anything to do with it, but I always worry about companies who have questionable integrity or false performance claims (both of which seemed to be the case over on the HML when I was talking to some of those guys).

Regardless, it would be badass to drop a Dmax into a Tahoe...or my dream truck, a black 2010 Avalanche with a 4" lift, some killer all terrain meats, and an AEV winch bumper. A Dmax in one of those would certainly turn some heads.

Ah, if only I had the money.
