2010 Tahoe 5.3,
102,500 miles:
I was driving down the street, stablitrack, traction control lights come on and the engine was making a fluttering noise, and lost all power. The noise sounded like something was in the fan or the fan shroud had broke loose (as on an older vehicle). Luckily I was a couple blocks from home, so I coasted home. I moved some cars out of the driveway and went to start it back up, it cranked real fast started and shut right off, tried again and now it seems to be locked. Has every symptom of a locked motor. I had the starter and battery tested, both good. I took a breaker bar and the engine will turn but not a full rotation either way.
At this point I believe it needs a motor. My question what could of caused it, is it common is the something else I could check? it had no prior engine problems
