White.

Cool thing is that I can switch my gauges to any color I want now since the overlay will be clear. I would post up what I have done so far but can't do it from my phone. Can send a picture text though.

Going white LEDs so the gauges will be white...I can switch to red LEDs and the gauges will be red, and so on.

First off i want to say I am sorry for my post here as it may sound very ignorant to those who know these vehicles. I am sorry for that.

I have been reading this thread and it interests me a lot cause I want to change the gauge cluster color also. I have a OBS hoe and was wondering if the NBS vehicle gauge clusters fit our OBS trucks? I thought this may be a possibility because there is mention of the Denali and Escalade gauge clusters earlier in this post. Or are you all strictly speaking about the gauge needles that fit amongst the OBS and NBS and similar vehicles?

I would like blue gauges but the earlier mention of LED gauges being able to switch the colors if possible really made me smile since I had no idea that was even a possibility.

Thank-you for any reply to help me understand better. I do not mean to hijack the thread. I look forward to a write up as mentioned earlier as it would be most appreciated. If I have wronged anyone please let me know so I can make a new thread with my own questions. Thanks for your patients and understanding.

It's okay, Ink, I am sure, Mike doesn' mind. And we were all once ignorant to these vehicles at one point.

Aahh fucken hate my internet is down at home or I woul post up pictures to show you guys what I am talking about.

Anyway, on to your questions. No the NBS clusters will not fit into the OBS models. OBS Escalade/Limited/Denali clusters are interchangeable with any OBS model. These clusters come with white needles, speedometer goes up to 120mph, RPM limit goes up to 6K and the overlay is a teal color. I have seen some OBS which were not an Esc/Lim/Den but still had the teal overlay, which is the case with my Hoe. This poses a problem because if I wanted red gauges by installing red LEDs the teal overlay would create a purpleish look. On pretty much most clusters the overlay is a white, you can easily switch to blue gauges or any other color by simply replacing the old bulbs with blue LEDs and so on.

So I am done with the cluster, will just have to take the old one, switch over the LEDs and install the new one.

Yes, I am a tease

As you can see, the gauges on the right and gear indicator are completely done.

Thank-you for your reply haks310 it was very helpful. One last question,,,, if a person switches the stock bulbs behind the gauge cluster to LED type bulbs will the LED bulbs still be dimmable VIA the switch on the dash?

Also,, your dash is looking good haks310 !!

Thank you. Already done with it, just gotta install it.

They will not be dimmable, well just a bit but nothing compared to the stock bulbs.
