Yea, don't waste your money on shorty headers..go for the long tube ones.

Some people have some clearance problems around the steering shaft with the obx ones. Mine have about a 1/4 inch of space, but I know someone on here had to have a smaller steering shaft made to fit the headers

i had to get a custom shaft made for the LPP's. i wish i had done that before i dinged them up a bit to fit them in, but it was $100 for the custom shaft and now i have plenty of space in there!

I like short heathers for reasons that aren't legal in 49 states.

You don't want shorty headers, not worth the money unless you are going to put a turbo! Long Tubes are worth the money. All I run are DynaTek long Tubes with ceramic coating and free flow cats.

I just bought the OBX shorty headers off ebay and I am extremely pleased with the quality of them. The reasons I bought them were not for performance, but I needed something to replace my leaking cracked exhaust manifolds and didn't want to put out any extra money to modify the Y pipe.

There was an issue with the header flange, where they forgot to clearance around the drivers side front sparkplug, and the passenger side rear sparkplug. I have emailed them for comment, but have not heard back.

I modified them to fit my truck, but not too happy about having to remove them, cut them, and reinstall. Had to do the job twice.

Edit: The ones I bought were the ones for a 2001 Denali 6.0L, I don't know about the other engines.

good info brothers, thnk you, do you have any pictures of your work or those short heathers so i can reference mine before i start working on it? and also what do i wrap them with or how do i cover them with ceramic before install,,,, what do i need to do, first timer,,, all your info is already greatly appreciated boys

Here is what I had to modify. Had to cut the flange in one spot on each header.
