Does this look like axle wrap to you or something else?

That's about what mine looks like. It's a 4 door 2wd ... the front is flatter then the rear.

Basically when you step on the gas the rear end pinion wants to "rise up" and twist the rear end. The springs up on the front give and will form an "S" shape. It kills traction, leads to wheel hop, is unsafe and can damage stuff. It's exaggerated in lifted applications.

unknown at this time.
I was just concerned I had more than just an age problem. One of you had mentioned airbags for carrying tool loads occasionally so a Firestone air-spring kit is in now to act as main and auxiliary spring till I get the mains replaced after which the auxiliary bags become just auxiliary with an automatic level control and an on-board pump and air tank stuffed behind the rear wheels. More goodies to add to that later. Until then the inflation valves are installed in the jack storage area along with a measuring tape to level sideway wise. The lines were later protected with convoluted tubing after the pictures were taken.
