Does this sound like a valve body issue?

I have a 1999 Tahoe 4 Dr 4x4 and it would have a hard 1-2 shift, regardless of engine temp. I drive very light on the throttle and whenever u apply more than 15% throttle it shifts perfectly fine. Every other gear shifts fine and it down shifts good throughout all gears. It just seem weird that it only does it when I am not giving it gas and being light on the throttle. I checked my trans.fluid and It was a nice color and had proper levels.

When I barely give mine any throttle, it gives a hard shift from 1-2. I believe my trans is performing just fine. Just drive it.

Almost 2 years ago, I bought a level II tranny from PATC. Works Great except I get a slightly harsh 1-2 shift with low throttle too. Any decent amount of foot in the throttle and this goes away.

My original tranny gave a very hard 1-2 shift only after towing a trailer and after it heated up for 50 or so miles. It would bang so hard you would swear something was coming apart inside. This tranny had 220K on it so I just bought the tranny from PATC. I've heard it could have been the valve body but I didn't investigate cause I don't know shit about transmissions. Now I wish I would have kept the tranny just to tear it apart and learn something.

I had a PACT tranny and had the hard shift issue and it blew after 2 years. Get 4L80E and be done with it. IMO there is no way to rebuild a 4L60E like the factory... ive been through 4 of them. According to a re-builder, there were many minor changes to the 4L60E over the years and the mix-match bs that tranny shops do to build one if there should be issues with yours is the root of them not lasting. Just my 2cents.
