well i was trying to "fix" my power inverter and when i plugged it into the center cigaretter lighter. it blew the fuse, i replaced the fuse and the the two lower lighters now work but the center one still doesnt and all my power locks have quit as well, i have checked and re-checked all the fuses and still cant get power. I have searched and searched for something to fix this but have had no luck, i hope somebody can give me an idea of what has happened. I have a baby and having to unlock all the doors are a pain to unlock one at a time to load all his stuff up, driving me crazy

power windows and locks are covered by circuit breakers on same block. Give them a wiggle in case they are loose. the lighter/power sockets themselves can get old and dirty and operate intermittently. Also what year is it?

its a 99, i have even swithched the fuses around, the big silver ones on the block on the driver side of the dash, I havent had any power window problems, just the door locks and the one center lighter plug. Im just crazy that i cant figure this out, why 2 of the 3 lighter plugs work, and why it affected my doors in the first place

while the circuit breaker actually power the actuators thru a relay. The cig lighter fuse #13 feeds also the switches that activate relay. so you need to find out, if that fuse is good, why there is no power flowing thru it. Check for a disconnect orange wire on the convenience center under the dash. it should be in a gray connector left side second one down.

god i hate electrical, the convenience center is on the lower left side of the interior firewall right? with all the plugs in and out? I traced a couple orange wires as best i could without tearing all the tape off. not sure what you mean by a disconnect. Im looking through my haynes manual as well but it not helping me much. The fuse is good, power both sides with a test light, and i have switched the big silver 30A fuses (again) and nothing, it doesnt affect my power windows so they cant be bad... im just lost

i do have power to orange wire on the relay, but as far as i can tell from the wiring diagram in my haynes i should have 2 hot orange to the convenience center and i only have one, but cant tell which one is the 20A fuse and which is the 30A silver one

should i replace the relay? just in case? when i plug and unplug the 30A fuse i can hear it click

can you get a pic of convenience center with which the orange wire you do have marked. It should not click when breaker is removed or installed unless there is a switch shorting out triggering the relay. I meant disconnected wire sorry. On other thing to check is behind the kick panels where door lock/windows/speakers bundles can sometimes get cut.
