Door Removal

Hey Guys,
What's the best way to handle the spring when removing the doors from a '99 Yukon? Getting ready for paint.

Also, how do you remove the barn doors?

I bought a spring compressor to remove mine. I got it from Amazon, but you should be able to get it locally for around $12. I've read about people using a screwdriver to push down one side, but that thing is strong as heck.

Are you in the Denver area by chance? You're welcome to mine if you are local.

Thanks BirchyBoy. I'll pick up the tool. I don't want that thing shooting across the garage and I'm sure I'll have need for it in the future.
Thanks for the offer to use yours. If I lived in your neck of the wood I'd take you up on it. But I live in Long Beach CA. You know, the place with perfect weather!
I'll post a photo of the paint job when it's finished.
