Duplicolor touch-up paint DOES NOT MATCH!!

so i finally found my color touch-up paint... went to like 5 different auto parts stores not finding anything and decided just to order it... yeah doesnt match for shit!
i shoulda just left em black... tomorrow ima get a can of clear coat and hopefully that will make up the difference...

ummm looks like uneven coats for 1 and very rough.. (in the pictures) you have to stay steady and keep a wet seam. 2 yes they need clear.. Looks about right to me.

I would have gone to a paint store and had them color match and bought clear. Bought a harbor freight $20 gun and sprayed them.. Works like a charm

they are even coats its just the pictures... in person they are sprayed good and smooth but i dont think the color is even close... maybe im color blind?

well tomorrow ill wet sand em spray em again then clear em... hopefully they'll come out good

I really have no idea what I'm talking about but could you get them wet to simulate them being cleared to see if they match a little better?? Sounds dumb after reading it but hey, what's a little water going to hurt?

well about 5 mins after i put them back on it started raining and they still need to be cleared...

I always get my touch up paint from paintscratch.com. If there are variations in the colors he'll mix the right one according to your VIN.

And yes, you need clear for a correct color match.

Not to sound cruel but you get what you pay for, in this case you got a $15 paint job. To get it matched correctly you need to have a paint store mix you a pint and shoot them or take them and have someone else do it

so i decided to take my time and do it "the right way" with what i was workin with and its better but now it came out darker than the color of the truck...
