Hi .....

I'm new to the forum I have a 2012 tahoe ( before this I was a diesel guy). So I was wondering about E85 I have heard horror storys about it destroying engines and was wondering if any of this is true? Especially since i havent talk to anyone that has personally had thier vehicle break down using E85. Thanks

I have never run E85 myself. When I did find it .... it was more expensive than normal gasoline. :what:

I personally would never run it as long as regular gasoline is available.

The real horror story is how the libtards use E85 to to make themselves feel better. The ethanol comes from somewhere..... so while you may find it cheaper than regular gasoline .... we all pay more for beef. Just saying.

All gasoline has a certain amount of ethanol in it nowadays. Also the energy content is lower for E85.

Rant over.

Sorry.

Welcome to TYF.

I run E85 as there is a station close by. Better performance, but worse MPGs over premium.

There are still stations that sell alcohol-free gas. Usually premium tho. Most marinas also sell it as most boats were not designed to use alky gas. My jetski is rated to use E10 but I discovered that alky-free gas works better. Also lawn equipment.
