Not bad at all. Those were rated for 9 mpg City and 14 mpg Highway.

Is that the E85 ratings?

I bought it in early March and I ran 2 tanks of premium before trying the E85. I was getting high 14/low 15 mpg on premium with the same ratio of city/hwy driving.

Only modifications done to it are an AirRaid MIT and AEM filter, and have a DiabloSport InTune i3 using the canned DiabloSport performance tune with AFM/DOD and TM turned off.

Just FYI.... the Diablo tunes don't have any affect on the E85/flex fuel maps in the ECU.

Lew from Diablew said if you run E85 you are running off the factory maps.

I am running a custom 89 Oct tune from Lew and this was one of my questions.

Yes! Gasoline ratings are 13/18 for AWD and 14/18 for 2WD with the L94.

E85 my take:
Like @swathdiver states, miles per dollar not mpg

Requires about 30% more fuel for equivalent btu output
Octane rating around 115
Roughly speaking higher octane allows more boost pressure/compression before preignition, one of the reasons e85 is good for high boost street applications, providing you can deliver enough fuel.
Typically flex fuel vehicles have a sensor to change the mapping in the ecm (delivery, timing advance, etc.) automatically and even a stock vehicle will see a hp increase.
Also local availability, how many stations in area etc.

Is this your last tank of E85? If so, that looks like city mileage, 11.97 mpg or almost $.21 cents a mile.

My last tank averaged 12.36 mpg on E85 @ 73% alcohol content. Lots of testing done on this tank and a fair amount of city driving and idling but also about 250 miles of highway speeds above 60 mph.

Filled up at the same station today and they dropped the price to $2.239 a gallon!

I learned today that I can get more fuel into the tank if the truck is nose up. Nose down and it will not take on as much. Anyone else have this uh, feature?

I just need to figure put how to look at ethanol content...

I have a Diablo tuner that reads/logs PIDs and an OBD2 Bluetooth scanner with torque lite app for my phone... just gotta see if either will read the ethanol content.

Any suggestions?

I have the torque pro. I think you may need to pay the $5 or whatever it costs to get more PIDs
