I know this has somewhat been discussed on here, but nothing I have read have had the answer I need, everything focuses on reprogramming and intake plugging.
My question is, outside of welding the hole up, does any know what thread and size the tube coming from the manifold is, or where one can buy a cap?
I recently built a 383 stroker and installed Gibson GP102 headers and my factory tube will not full tighten so I suspect this weekend when I fire it up for the first time it will be a nasty exh leak.
I know I will need to reprogram the PCM to turn off the CEL and I know I will need to plug the intake if I remove the egr valve itself. Just to be clear, my question is regarding the pipe on the header/manifold.
And bending the pipe over etc will not work because the seal is loose.
I am also trying not to have to pull the header, as I just installed it, nor do I want to weld on brand new headers. So a "in the truck" fix is ideal.
Thanks for any suggestions and help.
