a while ago i washed my engine. im talking like a month ago. electricity was shutting off after because i got water in the alternator (thats why i think its happening)

now its starting again, itll just shut off. music and lights go, for a second or two then come back on, engines fine. i have no idea what this is and i have a big road trip coming up soon. anyone ever dealt with this kind of thing before?

I've had the same thing happen to me on my Caddilac. I brought it in for an oil change and the monkey spilled oil down the side of the block. Than he power washed the block and alternator. I drove out of the dealership and alternator died. Well that cost that lube monkey some cash. Alternator was gone and not cheap or easy to do on a Norstar motor.

water may have gotten in a connection somewhere and caused some oxidation. try snooping around in the a little and see what you can find. I pressure wash my engine at least once a month with no adverse affects. hope you find it
