Engine additives, fuel treatment and oil

What do you guys and ladies use? I use ZMAX fuel and oil I tried some of the other brands like Lucas and etc I like ZMAX works really well and never failed me.

Better gas mileage, no issues with the oil when getting changed when I'm at the dealership getting the oil changed and getting told that by the service technician who serviced the vehicle.

I’ll take a hard pass on zMAX. They were fined by the FTC for false claims.

I have always avoided speedway like the plague unless I'm after e85. But to be fair, that fine was 19 years ago...

What type of gas mileage data and history do you have showing the differences you’ve experienced with and without the ZMax additives?
Same brand and type of fuel ran for the same amount of miles with calculated MPG’s with and without ZMax additive?

Also, what’d you mean by “no issues with the oil when I get my oil changed”? Have you had issues with your oil in the past? If so what type of issues has your technician informed you about with your oil? If/when that happened did the technician show you your oil? Is your oil always changed at the recommended intervals?

I have used synthetic motor oil since 1980, does a great job at keeping the motor clean inside, was told by my engine builder never to use oil additives, and I never have, but I have been told by two different engine builders, and my chevy dealership people to use TECHRON fuel system cleaner every 5k miles, and I have for decades.

Techron is good stuff as well as BG 44k fuel system cleaner.

My theory is use good fuel all the time and you wont have to use a cleaner.

If the additives people depended on me they would be out of business...I just use Mobil 1 or AC Delco oil and use Mobil fuel 99% of the time.
