That's not a bog! That's the drive-by-wire controlling the revving. Glad it was nothing, but at least you have a solid tune-up now.

Lol I know now. Straight shenanigans on my part.

But it is possible to gap iridium plugs with the $2 gap measure tool from Wally world(walmart).

And I'm definitely getting more power above 3000 rpms with the gap at .045.

I am amazed at how smooth a 17 year old truck can run when taken care of.

I'm gapped at .060 right now, you have me thinking about changing it

.060 is what my burb stock gap is meant to be. All I know is this gap is highly recommended in the 8.1 community. Not sure how it affects 5.3 or 6.0 of the same years.

I suggest trying. Also If I did it again I'd go with ac delco 41-110.(I think that's the right one) as they are iridium and pre-gapped at .045

And does anybody think the difference between .040 and .045 is anything that will matter....5 thousands of an inch? :insane:
