Engine is running cold

Doesn’t the conversion require reprogramming to turn the pin on for e-fans? Did he do that or just “hard wire” them?

Exactly what I was thinking. If it wasn’t done at a dealership the mechanic might not have had the ability to turn the pins on in the ecm for fan control and probably didn’t wire the fan to the ecm. Do they run all the time? They shouldn’t even be on at all at that low of a temp, I believe they turn on low at 180.

How about a little more history? How long have you owned the truck?

Has it ever run at the right operating temp, based on the thermostat temp?

Any prior front end damage or other issue that would cause the radiator to have been replaced?

Used a scan tool to see what temp the sensor is reporting?

I have owned it since new no front end damage. I used scan tool to get correct reading. And yes temperatures were always good before fan change.

Fan does not run all the time it hardly ever came on and lots of time it only came on after I parked it in shed and motor had been off for a while

Not too long ago I had temps showing low, running 160ish. Popped a thermostat in, and temps only came up a couple degrees. Pulled out IR temp gun, which might have been good to do in the first place, found my actual temps were about what they should be pointing at the head at the temp sensor, but the sensor was reporting too low. Replaced the temp sensor.

Whereabouts is the sender? Looks like I need to do that too, just not sure where to look.

You need to burp the system- look it up on google

It seems to me either this ^^ or a bad therm but since this is supposedly all he messed with then I don't see how other parts would be the likely culprit.

Like stated, air seems likely.
