Engine Power Reduced

I was driving down the road today at about 70..had been goin 70 for a good while, maybe 45 min or so and then all of a sudden it said engine power reduced and it wouldn't accelerate. I pulled over and in the process the steering wheel locked up and i couldn't turn. checked coolant and everything and it all looks normal. Book says it could be from going fast and the engine overheating if its hot out, but its only 60 here today. Anyone have this problem or know what it might be?

Once you shut it off for a little and turned it back on did you have an Error Codes and did the "Engine Power Reduced" go away?

The engine light has been coming on and off for the mass air... I let it set for about 5 min the started it back up and Engine power reduce went away but engine light stayed on and haven't scanned for codes yet... Would the mass air make it do that?

It could, do you have an aftermarket CAI (Cold air intake)?
