So i need ball joints and a half shaft

I can get moog parts for a slight discount thru my brother so that what i plan on doing, but im wondering about shop costs

I have a 96 hoe k1500

i believe i have the stamped contorl arm (so its the smaller of the two types i believe for the lower ball joints), and i know the uppers are riveted in

The half shaft im curious about because car quest asked if i had abs on all four wheels or just 2, and advanced just asked on wheel lugs

carquest also said cv shaft, is that the same as a haflshaft?

so aside from the parts, what seems to be a good price for a shop to do this work, myself and my father dont have the time nor patience to deal with the pressed in ball joints, so it would make sense to have someone else do it

just wondering what the possible labor cost will be for this

oh, and the halfshaft is driver side front

My shop quoted me about 8 hours for doing all 4 ball joints and an alignment.

WOW, labor will cost you around $200 or more dude.

Just get a manual and do it yourself. its not like your rebuilding an engine or tranny.

You like to play with LEGO toys? if you do. its just like big LEGO but its bigger

For the balljoints go with MOOG, I had the uppers done a few wks back with parts and labor it was $175 got it done at this auto school out my way my buddy goes there and I know a few of the teachers there, If I didn't go there I called up Pepboys to see and to do both uppers and lowers (I didn't know which I needed at the time, when I threw my new tires on the place suggested I get them done) they wanted like $800ish a local shop could prolly do it a for a lil less but its not a cheap job to have done

unknown at this time.
rivets are drilled out and new joints bolt in for top. bottoms require more work. You can possibly get a new upper or lower arm with joint and bushings already installed but not sure if available for 4x4 model only seen them on 2wd versions as low as $130 for each arm assy.
