Got a video?I'm running without a muffler, just cats and resonators on a 2015 5.3. I've only had it like this for about a week, but I love how it sounds. Thinking about ditching the resonator and dumping the exhaust under the truck.

I got offered to have 3rd cat cut for $100, and they’ll reinstall a cat “legally” I didn’t want to deal with that, plus I hear this third cat doesn’t do a whole lot, plus there’s a very nasty smell once it’s gone so I guess it’s a dual purpose 3rd cat, which technically it’s called a 2nd cat.
If anyone one wants to tell me why I “should” remove the 2nd cat, I’m all ears.

Can you post a pic of the cats on the Y-pipe? When mine was stock/had cats, the exhaust didn't stink and it just had those two cats. If your primary cats are significantly smaller, then it'd make sense that removing the third cat would affect the exhaust smell.
