okay if im putting a new set of long tube headers and getting two cats to put at the end of each head

is there anything wrong with getting two single exit flowmaster cat back kits and attaching to each cat seperatly basically a tru dual flowmaster kit

It'll cost a bit in fab to make it work...probably a lot more than having a shop run new pipes for you. Flowmasters aren't great mufflers either...I'd find another way to do the pipes.

okay after actually getting my tahoe on a lift the other day i know see why the y pipe configuration is pretty much the only way to go is there isnt really any room for any kinda true dual config running an exhaust down the left side of the vehicle would take alot of pipe bending etc unless of course i did ****** pipes like my fathers 67 chevelle had on it years ago but i think that would look funny on a tahoe

If you do long tubes the best thing you can do is look for headers with a factory connect catted Y. From there you can reinstall factory exhaust or use any available aftermarket system. If you just by the headers and do custom Y pipe then you're kind of stuck doing a custom cat-back which in the end will cost you more money. If you'd like some pricing on long tubes send us a PM, we'd be glad to help you make a decision.

If you want to do true duals it can be done. Got it on my truck and only cost me a little more that 300.

The shop ran both sides down the passenger side and split off just before the axle and straight out the back.

So if the shop you take it to is competent they'll be able to do it.
