Extra fuel tank

Hello everyone, please tell me, has anyone put an oversized fuel tank? On GMC Yukon XL 21+? A couple of times I came across information that there seems to be a tank for 36 gallons. But I couldn't find him. If anyone has any links, please give it.

As far as I can tell, previous generations of the Yukon/Tahoe/Silverado had a larger fuel tank as a factory option but this is no longer the case.

I have even noticed that some of the other manufacturers seem to be quietly discontinuing their larger fuel tank options.

Yes, that's right. On previous generations, the tank was larger. Silverado has it easier. There is an enlarged tank of up to 40 and even up to 45 gallons of the Titan company. But I haven't found such a tank in the Yukon

Ford and RAM had 36 gallon factory tank options for the 1/2 ton trucks but I'm not seeing them listed on their "build and price" tools anymore. As far as larger aftermarket tanks for the gas versions the searching I do online usually turns up in a dead end and I saw something on another forum or one of the manufacturers of such tanks (can't remember) stating that due to tightening regulations its almost impossible to make an aftermarket tank for the gas models that comply with government regulations.

In the USA, they changed the legislation and prohibited the installation of non-standard tanks of larger volume? Yes, I noticed that larger tanks are only available for diesel cars.

It's nuts I spend $104k on a Yukon XL and can't get over 325 miles to a tank? I'd LOVE a larger tank in this yacht of a vehicle.

I think the main reason why you don’t see an aftermarket option for it is because of it having IRS.

I regularly can go 475-500 miles in my Denali XL on the highway. At 19MPG, the 28 gallons will take you 532 miles if you go to the limit. I can easily get 19 on the highway. My City MPG is around 15.5-16; that yields a range of 434. If I drive all city, I usually go 325-375 miles and squeeze in 20-21 gallons.

Even when towing my boat, I can get 325-375 miles, around 13-13.5 MPG.

If you are only going 325 miles on a tank, you either are filling up way before empty, or are getting sub 12 MPG. The tank is 28 gallons, 325/28 = 11.6. How much fuel are you adding after 325 miles?

I drive fast on the highway. With a speed of about 105-110 mph and I have a fuel consumption of 11 mpg. So the range on one tank is less than 300 miles
