Factory Remote Starter

Im in the process of buying my wife a 2005 or 2006 Yukon. Is there any way to install a factory remote starter to the truck like they offer in the 2007+ models?

Get aftermarket, I wish I wouldn't have bought my factory remote start for my 07'. Range on it sucks too...

Yea the 2 way is badass. Our 13 burb you have to be able to hear the horn honk to know your in range. Otherwise you have no way of knowing if it started or not.

Thanks for the help guys. I know I can add a aftermarket unit to the truck but I would rather have a factory remote starter. I've seen some issues with aftermarket remote starters in the past. My wife has a 09 Equinox now with a factory remote starter and it has worked well. We are also only using it for very short distances.

I'm 99% sure you cant. Because they run on different data systems that aren't compatible.

Go with the Viper you get up to 1 mile range its awsome.

Not sure they came with remote start those years.
