FCA forward collision alert system

Please share your experiences with the system.
We were having a conversation regarding the system.
My experience is that I feel that the brakes are apply on mine.(slightly) not a full stop.
Now I really don't know if I have adaptive cruise control because I have a 2016 late August production.
Some guys are saying is just for 2017s. But from the video it looks like the system been out seen 2015.

I know this one is for the Acadia but this similar to what mines does.
I'm going to check my paperwork tomorrow. See if I'm missing something.
