Ok my Hoe is acking weird the last couple of days. It starts fine and idles normally. Than once it gets to normal temp, It feels like it has a misfire. I'll drive it and everything seems normal than ruff idle returns. I've replaced plugs, wires, air filter and fuel filter a few weeks ago. I checked everything yesturday. Plugs look fine, wires have good connection and are not touching anything. I'm thinking of cleaning EGR and IAC this weekend. Any thoughts what the problem could be? This is driving me crazy, I want my Hoe running smooth again.:emotions122:

if it was a misfire you would get a check engine light. It could be a number of things. Try cheap repairs first. injector cleaner, clean out the TB, seafoam, MAF, etc. Hopefully that will help. Also check your oil for coolant and vise versa.

Check your exhaust system too. Dirty EGR, bad O2 sensors, clogged catalytic converters, leak in manifolds. This stuff can cause them to run funny sometimes.

Ok how do u check MAF? The TB looked clean, I checked that when i did plugs and wires. Ok what is Seafoam, I keep reading about it on the forums, I just never seen or used it.

Seafoam is an additive that cleans out your engine. Costs about $10 at any auto parts store. Put half in through the vaccum line and half in the gas, or you can do it in thirds and put it the oil too. It cleans out the internals of your motor.

Well planning to clean EGR this weekend(That was my first thought after plugs and wires checked out). I'll try Seafoam in the gas tank as well ( just finished reading tech forum about it. I read that appling Seafoam through vacum line is useless on OBS because it on because Vortec 5.7L only draws vacum from back 2 cylinders). So if I add Seafoam in the gas tank will it still smoke?

It is not useless through the vac, it does clean those two cylinders. I did it today and I had lots of smoke. Putting it in the gasoline won't smoke.

put at least a can and a half in your gas tank..if full..if you only put half a can its would be very diluted. the directions for ounces per gallon are on the can. And for the MAF, get a can of MAF cleaner at the auto store and all you do is pull it of the intake and spray the sensors down like crazy with. let it sit for about 10 minutes and then put it back on
