you know what Felix, they are SWB, so I don't think they would work on your Avy. I completely forgot that you had a full length door in the second row.

On another note, since I have these on my vehicle, what I would do is hit a test light on the harness and figure out what is your ground, your positive, and your trigger. We'd just wire that harness into a relay that would send a trigger to the relay when the doors are opened (via a pressure switch). This would in turn active the step and extend them, then retract them when the pressure switch was pressed back down (i.e. the door closing).

Anyone who is good with wiring a relay can easily make this happen, just a matter of finding the guy who wants to take the time and understand how it works. :Handshake:

What you are saying makes a lot of sense. Wish I could do it myself but i'm just not that smart lol... now to only find a guy like this...

Maybe just cutting the valance to where it is smaller would be a good compromise rather than removing it?

Cutting it with what? It's pretty thick plastic and i'm not sure I could cut that straight lol. I want to remove it really but it just doesn't look clean with it off..

Hearing people's opinions is good. I was just voicing my opinion that I disagreed with what Ben said :) I'm not a chrome tow hook kinda guy and don't think it really adds anything of substance to the look of the front end. I also think the debadging cleans up the looks so much that I encourage everyone to do it. With that said, though, if everyone modded their rides the same this would be an extremely boring hobby!! :)

I think the chrome tow hooks is one of those subtle mods where when you see it you're like 'ahh what a nice and clean little addition'... it also matches all my trim. For now I'm leaning towards de-badging the doors and getting the oem chrome tow hooks in the future.

Maybe use some tape to mark your line and a dremel with a small cutting wheel.

I cut my valance on my tahoe. I did tape it off and I used an air saw to cut mine then used a small sander to finish up the edges. It makes it look so better and give it the look of more lift!!

How does the chrome tow hooks not add to the front end?

IMO it doesn't add that much to the looks  I'd rather have black or nothing at all.

Measurements for my Avalanche with the 2.5" front only:
PR- 38.19"
PF- 38.50"
DR- 37.13"
DF- 38.38"

Measurements with the 2.5" in front and 1.5" in the rear:
PR- 38.93"
PF- 39.00"
DR- 38.56"
DF- 38.38"

It looks like it raised the front passenger side a little bit too once the rear 1.5" billet spacer was added but did not affect the front driver side (maybe because of the gas tank location on that side of the vehicle??). I originally went with just the 2.5" in front because I thought that would level me out as a lot of people on GMFS run the 2.5" TGC kit up front and are completely leveled afterwards. BUT since I have AutoRide on the Avy, it comes lower than non-AutoRide LS/LT vehicles which caused my rear end to sag a bit and gave me the un-desired cali lean.

You dropped major $$$ this week on the Avy. Surely you can score a $70 dremel. I've had mine for years and it is really handy to have.

I don't have a dremel :(

I used a jigsaw...taped it off and cut away. Then used a sander to clean the edges up. Really easy.
